Go Green Yangon SDGs 11 & 12

What is environmentally sustainable? The society is able to maintain the lowest rates of pollution creating, energy efficiency, recycling, poverty, and many more. In a sustainable society, almost everyone is healthy, educated, and responsible to continue a cleaner community. If a society has high rates of air pollution, plastic pollution, low energy efficiency, and poverty, then citizens must take actions to reform to have a greener and cleaner community.
In order to create our society greener and cleaner, especially in Yangon, we have to set our seventeen sustainability goals (SDGs) to have a utopian society. In this event, we will be covering goals number 11 and 12. SDGs 11 is about making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, and sustainable. The targets for SDGs 11 are accessing safe and affordable housing, calculating the proportion of waste regularly collected in cities, and many more. SDGs 12 is about responsible consumption and production. The targets for SDGs 12 are implementing the 10-year goals on sustainable consumption and production, reducing waste generation through recycling, reduction, and reuse, and achieving environmental healthy.
Give two hours of your time for this event and you’ll create positive impacts to Myanmar. Also, after this event, don’t forget to spread your new knowledge to your friends to prevent further negative environmental effects.
